It is difficult to talk about fashion in the abstract, without a human body before my eyes, without drawings, without a choice of fabric - without a practical or visual reality. I believe in comfort. If you don't feel comfortable in your clothes, it's hard to think of anything else. Design is a series of creative choices - it's a collaborative effort, an evolutionary process. You choose your fabrics depending upon what you want to say, then you work with mills to get those fabrics. Through the process, you realize what you want it to be. The difference between style and fashion is quality. What I hate is nasty, ugly people.
Fashion fades, only style remains the same. Design and style should work toward making you look good and feel good without a lot of effort so you can get on with the things that matter.
